Farid Abu Azra, Director of Education at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, said today, Wednesday, that the agency is reluctant to open schools for integrated face education for the primary stage.
Abu Athra explained in radio statements that this reluctance is caused by problems and difficulties encountered in education during a month of integrated face education for the preparatory stage.
He indicated that the existence of large areas in the Gaza Strip classified as "red" made the agency rely on remote education for a large number of middle school students.
He pointed out that teachers are working to communicate their message, although there are a number of teachers who have been forced to work from their homes, and some of them have suffered health complications.
The UNRWA education official in Gaza said that the distance education process is continuing and the distribution of materials for self-learning has started for the second month and the third and fourth months materials have been printed.
Abu Athra added, "It is too early to talk about an integrated evaluation process for the first semester, and we have a meeting with the agency´s management for evaluation."
