In a press statement, Monday, Farwana said that 13 citizens were arrested at the Beit Hanoun / Erez checkpoint, while they were moving to and from the Gaza Strip, or after conducting interviews there for the purpose of allowing them to cross. And that 37 citizens were arrested at sea and working in the fishing profession. In addition, 84 citizens were arrested after crossing the eastern and northern borders of the Gaza Strip.

And Ferwana considered that the arrests "are part of the Israeli policy in dealing with the Palestinian people with the aim of repression, intimidation and revenge, but it is noticeable that the increasing attempts to infiltrate and cross the borders, which have become a worrying phenomenon." like he said.

He added, "The matter calls for stopping in front of this phenomenon, studying its causes and motives, facing its repercussions and risks, and taking serious action and controlling infiltration operations and stopping the randomness from them, especially since all those who succeeded in crossing the borders were destined to be arrested."

Farwana stressed the importance of educating citizens in the Gaza Strip, and making them aware of what they might be subjected to, interrogation, pressure, bargaining, and torture, and how to face all of this, during their movement through the Beit Hanoun checkpoint or during their detention and detention, in a manner that guarantees the protection of the individual and his social circle, and reduces the risk of arrest And its negative effects on the individual, family and society.

It is noteworthy that about (300) citizens of the Gaza Strip remain in the prisons of the Israeli occupation, and that the prisoner Dia Agha, who has been detained for more than 27 years, is the oldest and is considered the dean of the prisoners of the Gaza Strip.
