The number of coronavirus deaths around the year exceeded the 240,000 mark, according to the Worldometer website specializing in monitoring victims of the virus.
 
The website data showed that the number of deaths increased today, to 240,222, while injuries rose to 3, 421,226.
 
The United States ranked first in the number of deaths from the virus by 65,782.
 
Italy came second, with 28,236 deaths, followed by Britain, with 27,510.
 
And Spain ranked fourth with 25 thousand and 100, then France fifth with 24 thousand and 594, and Belgium sixth with 7 thousand and 765.
 
In seventh place came Germany with 6 thousand and 736, Brazil eighth with 6 thousand and 434, Iran ninth with 6 thousand and 156, and the Netherlands tenth with 4 thousand and 893.
 
The Corona virus appeared for the first time in Wuhan, capital of the Chinese province of Hubei, in December 2019, and spread to nearly 200 countries around the world.
