The Ministry of Health announced, on Saturday, 6 deaths, and 1,237 new infections with the Corona virus in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, after examining 5,991 samples.
Four deaths were recorded in the West Bank (one in Jenin, one in Qalqilya, and two in Nablus), and two in the Gaza Strip.
The new infections were distributed by 510 in the West Bank (Jerusalem suburbs 5, Tulkarm 133, Qalqilya 57, Salfit 26, Nablus 164, Jenin 52, Tubas 17, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 36, Hebron 14, Bethlehem 6) and 727 in the Gaza Strip.
Also, 433 new cases of recovery were recorded (269 in the West Bank) and (164 in the Gaza Strip).
118 patients are staying in hospitals and Corona centers in the West Bank, 46 of whom are in intensive care, and 7 are on ventilators.
With regard to the citizens who received the anti-Coronavirus vaccines, their total number in the West Bank and Gaza Strip reached 815,986, including 451,337 who received the two doses of the vaccine.
The Ministry of Health indicated that the number of examinations reached in the West Bank: 634,715, or 37.6% of the target group, and in the Gaza Strip: 181,271, or 14.3%.
