Citizens confronted, at dawn today, a group of settlers with the protection of the Israeli occupation army, and prevented them from razing lands in the village of Ni´lin, west of Ramallah.
And activist in the field of resistance to the wall and settlement, Murad Amira, stated that a group of settlers, under the escort of the occupation soldiers, accompanied by a bulldozer, infiltrated at dawn into the area north of the village, with the aim of continuing the bulldozing work to build a settlement road that they had started two days ago in the lands of the villages of Deir Qaddis and Ni´lin, along 2 km, where the citizens confronted them and prevented them from doing so, before they withdrew.
Amira pointed out that settlers are seeking, from behind the bulldozing, to establish a settlement outpost on citizens´ lands, which amount to thousands of dunams, noting that settlers have set up tents and mobile homes in the area about two years ago, and storm them with the protection of the occupation forces every period.
