Official data showed that the electronic information industry sector in China witnessed a steady expansion last year.
According to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the added value of China´s electronic information manufacturing industry increased 9.3 percent year on year in 2019, a decrease of 3.8 percentage points from the same period last year.
Ministry data showed that companies that exceeded the specified size in 2019 witnessed an increase in their revenues by 4.5 percent year on year.
Profits in the sector increased by 3.1 percent year on year, while operating costs increased by 4.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
In 2019, the sector saw its investment in fixed assets increase by 16.8 percent year on year, up 0.2 percentage points year on year, according to data from the Ministry of Trade and Information Technology.
In detailed data, the communications equipment industry continued its growth momentum in 2019, with operating revenues and total profits increasing by 4.3 percent and 27.9 percent year on year, respectively.
The ministry´s data also showed that the operating income of the computer industry increased by 3.9 percent year on year in 2019, with its profits increasing by 2.6 percent year on year.
