The light was also received in the city of Beit Jala, as thousands of citizens gathered in front of churches and monasteries and in the streets in the presence of clerics, as well as the mayor of Beit Jala, Eli Shehadeh, and members of the municipal council waiting for the light coming from the heart of the city of Jerusalem.
