According to international media, the United Kingdom has banned Omar Barghouti, one of the founders of the International Boycott of Israel (BDS) movement, from entering its territory to participate in several conferences overseen by the British Labour Party.
According to the sources, British authorities and pro-Palestinian groups have accused the British government of deliberately delaying the issuance of Barghouti´s visa in an unnatural manner, amid accusations that supporters of the occupation are behind it.
Barghouti was forced to participate in the conferences by delivering speeches via videoconference.
