Italian authorities, Wednesday, fined Apple and Samsung millions of dollars for what the market protection and Competition Authority described in its statement of practices that violated consumers ´ rights.

The reasons for the large fines on the insistence of the two companies on their users were to update new software that later slowed down the old phones, as well as not to inform users of important information about their devices in the case of Apple.

Apple Gromit, the first of 5 million euros because of the damage of some phones "iphone 6 " After the update to the operating system  "IOS 10 ", originally designed to the phone  "iphone 7 ", and after providing Apple to fix the problem did not tell users that it would be a huge burden on old phone processors and batteries.

The second fine of €5 million is also due to the failure of Apple to provide detailed information about its device batteries, such as battery life, protection procedures and how to replace them, according to the specialized technical site "the Virg".

As for Ssung, she was punished with a similar fine after the "marshmallow " version of the Android operating system caused major problems on the phones "Note 4 ", knowing that the version is mainly designed for the phones  "Note 7 ".

According to media, the Korean company expressed dissatisfaction with the decision of the Italian authority, asserting that it would appeal the resolution.

Apple last year admitted deliberately to slow down some of the old iphone phones, asserting that it wanted to prolong the life of the devices, while at the same time apologizing to users for the "misunderstanding" that occurred as a result.

According to the report of the Italian authority, the decision of the two companies to urge users to update the newer software on their old devices caused serious breakdowns and decreased performance clearly, which precipitated the replacement of those devices later.
