An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale of earthquakes hit today, the village and municipality of El Hoyo, in the province of Chabat in southern Argentina.
The Bloomberg News Agency quoted a statement of the American Geological Survey as saying that the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 15 kilometers northwest of the village and municipality of El Hoyo in the province of Chabat in southern Argentina.
There was no immediate report of casualties or material damage.
