Al-Abadla: Preventing the introduction of vaccines puts Gaza in danger of death

Rami Al-Abadleh, head of the infection control department at the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, said today, Tuesday, that preventing the introduction of the Corona virus vaccine into the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation puts Gaza in danger of death.

In an interview with the local Voice of Jerusalem radio in Gaza, Al-Abadleh considered the occupation’s decision a murder crime for which the international community must be held accountable.

He pointed out that there is communication with global health and international bodies to provide the vaccine, especially since Gaza is under occupation, noting that there is still no development regarding its introduction.

"The only occupation country in the world that was able to provide vaccines, but it is preventing them from being supplied to the residents of the Gaza Strip, and this is racial discrimination," he said.

He added, "The occupation must provide a Corona vaccine, not prevent it, and this measure is a brute crime."

The official at the Ministry of Health in Gaza expected that in the coming days there will be a second wave of the spread of the Corona virus, expressing his hope that the vaccine will arrive before the outbreak.

"The more commitment from the public, the more delayed the second wave of Corona, and vice versa," he said.
