The Ministry of Health, together with the Norwegian aid Committee "Norac ", signed an agreement on the establishment of an oxygen-generating plant for Nasser Medical complex in Hanyounis province, Gaza Strip, at a cost of more than 213 thousand dollars.
The agreement was signed by Minister of Health Dr. Jawad Awad and director of the Norac Foundation in Palestine, Dr. Mary Ying, in the office of Minister Awad, Ramallah.
The Minister of Health confirmed that this phase is the sixth stage in a large and continuous project, where the previous five phases were completed, in all hospitals in the northern and southern governorates, at a total cost of more than $6 million.
Minister Awad explained that after the completion of this phase of the project, the production of oxygen will be self-sufficient in all government hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
The project includes the installation of oxygen generating stations, as well as the provision of spare parts in the event of disruption and periodic maintenance.
