The director of the hospital pharmacy in the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Alaa Hilas, declared the effectiveness of the therapeutic milk of all kinds, which constituents a real danger to the health of sick children who benefit from it since birth.
For his part, Ragheb Warsh Agha, head of gastroenterology at Rantisi Hospital, said that the effectiveness of the therapeutic milk is detrimental to the health of our sick children inside the hospital, pointing out that they will suffer from chronic diarrhea, poor absorption and therefrom reduced their weight, forcing them to enter the hospital for long periods.
He explained that sick children rely on milk Glactomin mainly since birth and exposed to the risk that they benefit only from animal food such as fish, meat and milk and without it will affect their public health.
He pointed out that this particular milk is not available in the private market and has no alternatives at all in addition to the high cost of more than $ 100.
He pointed out that the milk of neutermogen is given to children who are allergic to the protein found in cow´s milk, benefiting from a large segment of sick children, explaining that the alternatives are not the same efficiency and quality, as well as the entry of isomil milk needed by children who suffer from sugar absorption, Other milk is missing from the hospitals of the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
It is worth mentioning that monthly rates of the therapeutic milk are distributed according to the needs and age of the child, especially since these children suffer from chronic genetic diseases and need the therapeutic milk for the continuation of their lives.
