A citizen died today, Friday, from a serious injury in the fire that broke out in Nusseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip on the fifth of this month, raising the number of martyrs of the tragic incident to 18 martyrs.
In a brief statement, the Ministry of Health reported the martyrdom of Hajj Majid Amer Abu Yousef (66 years) at the Alch Clinic in Ramallah, as a result of his serious injury during the Nusseirat accident.
Hajj Abu Yusef is a resident of the Nusseirat refugee camp, and Majid is the owner of the block factory behind Al Banna bakery. His son Uday Majed Amer Abu Yusef, 19, died on the day of the tragic fire, and it is expected that the body of Hajj Abu Yusef will arrive tomorrow to funeral his body to the cemetery. Nuseirat.
A massive fire broke out on March 5 in the Nusseirat refugee market, killing 18 citizens and wounding about 50 others, more than 10 of them in serious condition, in addition to causing severe material damage to shops.
The Ministry of Interior said that the preliminary investigation into the event indicates that it resulted from a gas leak inside a bakery, while the Public Prosecution opened an investigation into the accident.
