The National Committee for Prisoners Support in the Nablus governorate organized a protest stand against the policy of targeting and deliberate medical neglect against the prisoners, whose result was the death of the prisoner Dawood Al-Khatib in Ofer prison on Wednesday evening.
Representatives of the various factions, institutions and actors, activists in prisoners´ issues, and those who raised pictures of the captive al-Khatib, chanted slogans in support of the prisoners and demanded their protection.
The representative of the factional Coordination Committee mourned the prisoner Al-Khatib, who spent more than 17 years in the occupation prisons, indicating that he had risen as a martyr as a result of medical negligence, oppression and terrorism inside the occupation prisons.
He stressed that the Prisons Authority continues operations of repression and terrorism against the captive movement, indicating that the prisoner Al-Khatib is the 224 martyr of the captured movement.
And he sent an urgent message to the General Secretaries of the factions meeting in Beirut, demanding that the prisoners issue be the primary and central issue, in order to pressure the occupation to release them and obtain their rights.
