A new convoy will arrive in the Gaza Strip early next month month ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, via the Rafah border crossing, after receiving Egyptian approval, Dr. Issam Yousef, head of the Miles of Smiles convoys, announced Monday.
In a press statement, Yousuf said that Gaza, under the Israeli siege imposed on it, needs more support and care in various fields, especially health.
He stressed the need to combine the efforts of Islamic and Arab charities and the free world to prepare the convoy relief and solidarity.
He called on all philanthropic efforts, including individuals and institutions, to contribute actively to the provision of medicines, equipment and medical supplies, especially under the official warnings of a difficult reality in Gaza.
