A 5.8-magnitude earthquake shakes the Izu Islands in Japan

A 5.8-magnitude earthquake shook Japan's Izu Islands at 0622 GMT today (Tuesday), the US Geological Survey said.


The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, was initially determined to be at 31.01 degrees north latitude and 141.99 degrees east longitude.
