More than 400 injured during confrontations with the occupation in Beita and Qusra

the pioneers of the press and media- More than 400 civilians were injured today, Friday, during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces in the towns of Beita and Qasra, south of Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent stated in a press statement that the total number of injuries that its crews dealt with today, in the towns of Beita and Qasra, south of Nablus in the northern West Bank, are 411.
According to the Red Crescent, among the injuries, 23 were injured by live bullets, 260 were injured by tear gas suffocation, 70 were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, and 58 were injured as a result of falls, burns and other injuries.

Violent confrontations erupted in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, after the citizens performed Friday prayers, in the Karm Nimr area and marched towards Jabal Sabih, in rejection of the “Avitar” settlement outpost that was established more than two months ago on the top of the mountain, and the occupation forces fired live and metal bullets and tear gas canisters. Drones also participated in firing tear gas canisters at the demonstrators.

In the morning, the occupation bulldozers closed all roads leading to Jabal Sabih with earth mounds, in an attempt to obstruct the demonstrators´ arrival to participate in the march.

Clashes also erupted in the western area of ​​the village of Osrin, south of Nablus, today, Friday, during which soldiers fired bullets and tear gas canisters, which led to several bullet wounds and cases of suffocation that were treated on the ground, and a young man was arrested.

Violent confrontations erupted at the eastern entrance to the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, today, Friday, where citizens organized a protest to demand the return of the body of the martyr Muhammad Farid Hassan.

The soldiers fired bullets and tear gas canisters, causing bullet and gas bomb injuries, and dozens of suffocation cases.

Today, Friday, the occupation forces suppressed the weekly march rejecting the establishment of the settlement outpost in the village of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, and fired tear gas canisters at it. No injuries were reported.
