The Minister of Health, Mai Al-Kailah, condemned the Israeli bombing that caused dozens of sick children and their companions to panic, and damaged the Al-Durrah Children´s Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
In a press release issued today, Saturday evening, Al-Kailah indicated that this targeting threatened the lives of sick children, their companions, and medical staff in the hospital, considering the bombing a crime and a violation of the Geneva Conventions, international law and international humanitarian law.
She added that the fear that the sick children lived inside the hospital would cause severe psychological effects, indicating that the bombing had confused the work of the medical staff, in addition to causing severe damage to the hospital´s contents.
