Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the al-Aqsa mosque on Monday with tight Israeli protection.
According to our correspondent, the Israeli occupation police allowed 33 settlers to break into the Al-Aqsa mosque, walk through their courtyards, and perform their ritual prayers.
Among the intruders were 40 Jewish religious institutes and universities. It explained that elements of the Israeli occupation police and heavily armed special forces escorted settlers into their raid and protected them until they left the "door of the chain".
The number of settlers will rise during the day, as the Israeli occupation police allow them to take a second round of raids following the completion of Zuhr prayers.
The Israeli occupation police continue to scrutinize the identity cards of the Muslim expatriates and detain some of them until they leave the mosque.
