The Israeli occupation authorities demolished and seized 538 houses and structures in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in 2018, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Center for Studies and Documentation said on Friday.
The center said that "1,300 displaced citizens were homeless as a result of this demolition, including 225 children, in flagrant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and the various laws and international laws."
This came in a special report issued by the Center on Friday on the demolition of Palestinian houses and structures (Harvest 2018), which includes documentation of demolitions and demolition orders.
PCHR continued that the Israeli occupation authorities continued the policy of ethnic cleansing of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, through the policy of demolishing houses, commercial, industrial and agricultural establishments and infrastructure, in order to uproot citizens from their land.
