Israeli shelling on The Gaza Strip and resistance responds

Israeli warplanes launched raids on targets in Gaza early Thursday, following the Israeli army´s claim to fire a missile from the Gaza Strip towards the al-Ghofa settlements.


According to local sources, the occupation warplanes targeted the resistance´s "navy" position west of Gaza City with more than three rockets, without causing any casualties so far.


According to the sources, Israeli warplanes fired flares at the border line east of Khanyounis and Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The idf spokesman issued a brief statement on the bombing of its fighter jets on the Gaza Strip.


The israeli army spokesman said that "in response to the firing of a rocket from Gaza towards Israel yesterday evening, warplanes raided a number of targets at a Hamas naval position in the northern Gaza Strip." 


"We will continue to work against attempts to harm the citizens of Israel, and we hold Hamas responsible for or starting from what is happening in the Gaza Strip," the spokesman added.


In another subsequent statement, the OccupyIng Army claimed that a second rocket had been fired from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli settlements.


"A rocket-propelled grenade was spotted from the Gaza Strip towards Israeli territory, where the alert was activated in an open area only," said the spokesman of the Israeli occupation army.
