274 settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Large numbers of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the city of Jerusalem, accompanied by police officers .

The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said, in a brief statement, that "274 settlers stormed the mosque this morning."

Israeli settlement groups had called for large-scale raids of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the occasion of the Jewish Passover, which began Sunday and lasts a week .

The occupation police provided full protection for the settlers during the storming, and the performance of Talmudic rituals inside the mosque, according to the "Endowment Department."

And the Israeli police are still imposing restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and checking their identities at its gates .

And the Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed daily to incursions and violations by settlers and the occupation police, while the frequency increases on Jewish holidays.
