Fifteen prisoners in an Israeli hospital are suffering from serious and alarming health conditions, the prisoners ´ and Editors ´ authority announced on Tuesday.
"The health conditions of the sick and wounded prisoners in what is called the Ramleh Prison clinic are getting worse, in the absence of diligent health monitoring of patients who classify their health conditions as the hardest among the prisoners in Israeli occupation jails," the agency said.
The 15 prisoners are suffering from cancer, paralysis, kidney, diabetes and liver disease, and their health is constantly worsening and witnessing a steady decline over time, she said.
Israel has arrested some 6,000 prisoners, according to official statistics, including dozens who have spent more than 20 years in detention.
