JERUSALEM _ Palestine News Network
Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the Al-aqsa mosque on Tuesday morning, protecting members of the Israeli police.
A reporter from the "quds press" reported that Israeli police forces protected the settlers who stormed the Al-aqsa mosque in the morning, escorted by members of the Israeli police and the armed special Forces.
She added that 129 settlers stormed the Al-aqsa mosque from the "bab al-mughrabi", which is under the full control of the Israeli police, including tour guides and students of Jewish religious institutes.
She noted that the incursion during the morning tour ended after four consecutive hours, when the settlers returned to intrusion again during the second period beginning after the completion of the Zuhr Prayers.
Settlers have repeatedly stormed the AL-AQSA mosque, causing confrontations and escalation.
The keys to the "bab al-mughrabi" have been taken over by the Israeli police since the occupation of the city of Jerusalem in 1967, and since then they have controlled the visits (foreign tourists and settler intruders).
