Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem on Sunday morning, protecting elements of the Israeli occupation police and its special forces.
According to a source in the Islamic Endowments Department, 49 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning tour, in the form of successive groups.
He added that 69 settler students from religious institutes also stormed the mosque with the Israeli police, with some of these students being allowed to roam all the courtyards without specific trails, except for the covered chapels.
He explained that the Israeli police and the heavily armed special forces protected them during their walk in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and until they left the "door of the chain".
The "Wadi Helwa" Information Center said that the Israeli occupation forces had arrested the Abu-Kody regime from inside the Al-Aqsa mosque, and took him to one of its centers in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Israeli police allow settlers a second break-in after noon prayers, knowing that the raids are daily except Friday and Saturday.
