Israel is building the longest and deepest gas pipeline in the world, Israeli Energy Minister Yuval Steintes said on Wednesday.
Steinz did not disclose more details during his speech at the annual conference of the Israeli-language newspaper Jerusalem Post, which is published in English.
He said the move would enable Israel to gain a better position in the global gas market.
He noted that Israel was currently working on a joint energy project with the European Union, without giving further details on the matter.
