Dozens of extremist settlers stormed the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque today, Monday, with heavy guard from the Israeli police and heavily armed Israeli special forces.
The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said that the second incursion after noon prayers was attended by 101 settlers who stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, organized provocative tours in its courtyards, and received explanations about the alleged "temple" by members of the Temple groups and guides to the Ministry of Religions and Antiquities. Noting that 17 of them are under the name - Police Guests, some of them are female police.
She explained that the endowments said that the morning period 84 settlers, 90 Israeli tourists, and 50 police guests of different military ranks stormed the mosque. They made a tour that included the chapels and the courtyard of the Marwani and Qebli mosques, as well as the northeastern region of Bab al-Rahma, where the police and special forces provided full protection for the settlers, starting from their entry through the Mughrabi Gate and wandering around all the Al-Aqsa Mosque and ending with their exit from Bab al-Silsila.
She pointed out that an Israeli "border guard" police also stormed the mosque, and during the incursions, settlers performed Talmudic rituals in the Bab al-Rahma area, east of the mosque, which provoked the guards and the worshipers.
Today, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its chapels witnessed an intense presence of the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinian interior, despite the occupation measures and its strict restrictions.
The head of the Supreme Islamic Authority, the imam and preacher of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, called for a trip to the Al-Aqsa Mosque next Thursday, on the occasion of the memory of Isra and Mi´raj, taking into account adherence to public health and safety instructions, given the outbreak of the "Corona" pandemic.
He pointed out that Al-Aqsa Mosque has recently witnessed a noticeable escalation in the incursions into its doors and squares by extremist Jewish groups and their attempts to perform their Talmudic rituals inside its courtyards.
