Statistics issued by the General Administration of Civil Status at the Ministry of Interior - Civil Division - showed that the Gaza Strip witnessed during the month of February 3176 newborns and 286 deaths.
The statistic showed that the number of males among the newborns reached 1676, a rate of 52.7%, while the number of females reached 1500, a rate of 47.2%.
In detailing the governorates, the statistics indicated that the civil status offices in the Gaza Governorate Interior Directorate registered 1126 births, the North Gaza Governorate had 545 births, while the Al Wusta Governorate Interior Directorate recorded 479 births, the Khan Yunis District 657, and the Rafah District 369 births.
Regarding the number of deaths, the Civil Status in the Gaza Strip reported that its offices in the governorates of the Strip recorded 286 deaths during last February (168 males, 58.7%, and 118 females, 41.2%).
