EU: All settlement activities are illegal and must be terminated

The European Union has stressed that all settlement activity in the occupied territories is illegal under international law and undermines the viability of the two-State solution and the prospects for lasting peace, as confirmed by Security Council Resolution 2334.


In a statement issued by his spokesman on the announcement by the Israeli occupation authorities of the expansion of settlements, the European Union called on Israel to end all settlement activities, in line with its obligations as an occupying power.
