Nablus: Israeli forces expel olive pickers from their lands

The Israeli occupation forces on Saturday expelled olive pickers in the lands adjacent to the Yitzhar settlement between Burin and Huwwara, and threatened to bring the settlers to the scene if they did not leave.

It is noteworthy that the occupation and its settlers continue to target olive pickers in several villages in the West Bank, where villages south of Nablus witnessed repeated attacks, during the current season to pick olives, has recorded the village of Burin most attacks, which amounted to 12 attacks recently, from targeting farmers, theft and burning of trees While Qaryut recorded nearly 10 attacks in the south and prevented citizens from harvesting olives.

According to a recent report by the National Office for the Defense of Land and Resistance of Settlements, Palestinian villages in the olive harvest season have become a hotbed of confrontation between citizens and settlers.

The Israeli occupation forces do not allow Palestinians to enter more than 3500 dunums in Nablus governorate, except in advance coordination for a few days a year.
