WHO: Muzzles are not the "magic solution" to the prevention of Covid-19

The World Health Organization warned Monday that the use of masks alone is not enough to overcome the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has so far killed more than 70,000 people.

"The gags should only be used as part of another package of preventive measures," said WHO Director-General Tidros Adhanom Gebresus in a video conference. "There is no magic solution, gags alone cannot stop Covid-19 outbreak."

He considered that the use of masks is justified only when it is not possible to wash hands or social divergence.
