US intelligence has erred when it concluded that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction under Saddam Hussein, US President Donald Trump said on Sunday.
Trump also said in an interview with CBS´s "Face the Nation" program on Sunday that he did not believe the leaders of his country´s intelligence agencies about what they said Iran was adhering to the nuclear agreement that the United States had withdrawn from.
"I disagree with them," he said.
Trump said he planned to leave a military base and US forces in Iraq "to monitor" Iran, despite his tendency to reduce the US military presence in the region.
