US President Donald Trump on Monday ordered tough financial sanctions on Iran´s supreme leader Ali Khamenei and said he bore "full responsibility" for Iran´s destabilizing activities in the region.
"We will continue to increase the pressure on Tehran. Iran can never have nuclear weapons," Trump said as he signed the order in the Oval Office. "We do not ask for a conflict, and on the basis of Iran´s response sanctions could have ended tomorrow or could continue for years to come."
