US President Donald Trump intends in the coming days to impose a new 10 percent tariff on Chinese imports worth 200 billion dollars, the U.S. media said.
"President Trump has decided to levy customs duties on Chinese products worth $200 billion," the Sky News Arabic quoted the Washington Post as adding that a declaration in this regard may be issued "within a few days."
The Wall Street Journal also said an announcement in the coming days will be made, and the two newspapers quoted unnamed sources as a 10% fee, not 25%.
US President Donald Trump has imposed a 25 percent tariff on China´s $50 billion worth of Chinese products imported into the United States.
Washington and Beijing last week expressed their willingness to resume dialogue, in order to avoid an escalation of the trade war that has begun to negatively affect US companies in the state of China.
