Naif Jabr, head of the Kafr Laqif Village Council, revealed that the "Adirt" settlement industrial zone is pumping its wastewater and waste into lands in the villages of Kafr Laqif and Hajjah.
He added: "During the village council inspection of the valleys surrounding the village, there is a leakage of wastewater and waste from the industrial area that was managed for these valleys, which led to its mixing with rain water and contamination of soil and trees."
The settlement industrial zone is expanding at the expense of the lands of Kafr Laqif village in recent times, as dozens of acres of land have been leveled to build additional factories in the place.
