The Syndicate of Journalists rejected the invitation of US President Greenblatt´s advisor to Palestinian journalists to visit the White House. The union considered that this invitation is another failed and miserable attempt by the American administration to circumvent the leadership of the Palestinian people represented by the Palestine Liberation Organization led by President Mahmoud Abbas, who foiled the project to liquidate the Palestinian cause, which the US administration called the deal of the century.
The union said in a statement that the US administration has announced that it will address the Palestinian people through the media and behind the back of the Palestinian leadership. Therefore, the syndicate declares its rejection and condemnation of this dubious call for objectives and intentions and demands that all journalists who have registered over the years of occupation an honorable history and who are an integral part of our national movement and its national consensus and demand that they reject the call and adhere to the positions of the union and the positions of the PLO. The union stressed that the freedom of the press in Palestine is sacred, but considers that the consistency with these suspicious calls is against the freedom and independence of our people, an attempt to divide the Palestinian class, and considers that dialogue and meeting With the American administration, which adheres to its positions to support the settlement and liquidation of the cause of our people and targeting the Palestine Liberation Organization has no purpose but to market the novel occupation and settlement, and considers that no journalist or Palestinian media institution to communicate with them on this colonial ground Z And our land and holy places.
