Israeli occupation forces on Friday crushed the march of the anti-settlement village of Ni´lin, which caused a number of citizens to suffocate and set fire to olive fields in the village.
According to local sources, the Israeli soldiers fired sound bombs and tear gas at the participants. Several of them were suffocated and fires broke out in the olive fields. The Palestinian civilians were not able to control them. The Palestinian Civil Defense intervened to extinguish them.
The sources added that the Israeli occupation forces rained more gas bombs, causing heavy fire and a number of olive trees.
The march was launched after Friday prayers on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Nakba, and the participants raised the Palestinian flag and the black Nakba banners.
