The occupation suppresses a protest against the settlements in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron

Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces suppressed a protest against the settlement expansion in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

The occupation soldiers fired stun grenades at dozens of citizens from the villages of Al-Tawana, Al-Mafqarah and Al-Kharrouba, who participated in the vigil called by the Fatah movement’s territory in Yatta, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee, and the Protection and Resilience Committee, against settlement expansion and the continuous attacks of the occupation and settlers against the travelers’ families, without causing any injuries. .

The participants performed the Friday prayer on the lands threatened to be seized, owned by the Jabarin family, near the “Aviqal” settlement, after the settlers had set up a tent on it.

The participants raised the Palestinian flag and slogans condemning the occupation and its policy of ethnic cleansing against the traveler´s family.

It is noteworthy that the occupation has recently escalated its settlement policy and measures in Al-Musafer, the latest of which was the razing of the lands of the Al-Ain Al-Bayda area, east of Yatta, by settlers.
