Tonight, the Israeli occupation released 39 detainees, including 6 women and 33 children, at the “Ofer” military prison, which is located on citizens’ lands in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, and from the “Al-Maskobiyya” detention center in occupied Jerusalem, as part of the second batch of the “deal.” "Exchange."
A bus and vehicles belonging to the International Committee of the Red Cross transported a number of released detainees from the "Ofer" military prison to the Al-Bireh municipality, while the 5 female Jerusalemite detainees and a child were released from the "Al-Maskobiyah" detention center, where their families were receiving them.
Hundreds of citizens received the released detainees in Al-Bireh Municipality Square, chanting slogans congratulating them on their release, and others calling for the release of all detainees in Israeli occupation prisons.
Earlier on Saturday evening, four citizens were injured by live bullets, during confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces, in the vicinity of the “Ofer” military prison, located on the lands of the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah.
The occupation forces also attacked journalists near Ofer Prison, west of Ramallah, by firing heavy poison gas bombs around the prison.
Since the early evening hours, hundreds of citizens, families of detainees, and detainees have arrived in succession at the entrance to the Ofer military prison and the Al-Bireh Municipality Square, where their daughters and sons who are scheduled to be released were received.
In Jerusalem, the occupation forces prevented the families of the detainees from celebrating or receiving well-wishers at home, and obstructed the arrival of the released detainee Israa Al-Jaabis for several hours.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Prisoners’ Club announced, in a joint statement, the names of the first batch of female detainees and child detainees to be released today, numbering 33: as follows:
1. Israa Riyad Jamil Jaabis/Jerusalem: Sentenced to 11 years in prison, detained since 2015, she has one of the most serious medical conditions among female prisoners.

Yesterday, Friday, the occupation authorities released 39 detainees, including 24 women and 15 children, from the “Ofer” military prison, west of Ramallah, and from the “Al-Maskobiyya” detention center in occupied Jerusalem.
