Today, Wednesday, dozens of bodies of Palestinian martyrs were buried in the Khan Yunis area in the Gaza Strip in a mass grave, after they were detained by the Israeli occupation in the Shifa Medical Complex.

This step comes as the Israeli army continues to occupy the Shifa Medical Complex and transform it into a military barracks, a mass grave, and a headquarters for direct killing, according to the government media office in Gaza.

At dawn on Wednesday, the Israeli army stormed the Al-Shifa complex after besieging it for days, as it contains civilians who were displaced from their homes as a result of the ongoing Israeli bombing in the area.

Al-Arabi correspondent from Gaza, Saleh Al-Natour, reported that about 100 bodies of martyrs were released by the occupation from the Shifa Medical Complex and were buried in a mass grave in the Al-Nasmawi neighborhood in the city of Khan Yunis, specifically in the Turkish cemetery.

He explained that these bodies belong to martyrs and were being held by Israel and are located in the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, adding that they were released with coordination from the International Committee of the Red Cross.

One of the supervisors of the burial process said: “The process of removing the martyrs from Al-Shifa Hospital took place through the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah and Gaza,” noting that the Red Cross asked them to come in a large vehicle after they had gone in a small car to receive the bodies, whose number was estimated at 111.
