The Israeli occupation authorities on Wednesday prevented the establishment of a project for childhood and motherhood, and washed away Palestinian land that was set up for the project near the village of Amerin, south of the city of Jenin (north of occupied Jerusalem).

Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the village of Amerin, near the town of Yabad, southwest of Jenin, and washed away a land designed to create a project for children.

The sources explained that the military occupation bulldozer washed away the foundations of the project and destroyed the equipment that the contractor and the municipality of Ya´bad had begun to build in the area for the benefit of the project.

It noted that the occupying authorities had issued a decision, which it had verbally informed the inhabitants, that the project had been prohibited and that the construction work planned to include a multipurpose centre for Childhood and Motherhood had been discontinued.

The municipality of Ya´bad, through a press statement by its President Samer Abu Bakr, denounced the occupation forces ´ actions, noting that there was frequent targeting of the Amerin region.
