Today, Friday, the Israeli occupation forces arrested the head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Committee, Minister Muayyad Shaaban, and the authority’s photographer, Marwan Al-Agbar, in the town of Deir Istiya, west of Salfit.
The Director General of the Popular Action Department of the Commission, Abdullah Abu Rahma, stated that the occupation forces arrested Minister Shaaban and the photographer Al-Aghbar while they were participating in the march denouncing the seizure of lands in the “Al-Qaada” area, north of the town, and assaulted and beat them, while tear gas bombs were fired. It is noteworthy that the colonists seized, more than two months ago, citizens’ lands in the “Al-Qaada” area, and placed mobile homes (caravans) there, established sheep pens, and built a dirt road, in addition to extending water and electricity networks, with the aim of establishing a new settlement outpost.
