The Israeli occupation police imposed a 500-shekel financial breach on an ambulance belonging to the Palestine Red Crescent Society on Sunday morning, in the city of Jerusalem, opposite the school of Rashidieh.
The driver had received radio contact from the Red Crescent in order to convert it to a medical mission and had not been in a telephone call.
This unique offence is considered to be beyond the scope of the law, as the ambulance crews and ambulances receive numerous exceptions in this and other areas, such as speeding and moving in opposite directions to ensure that they reach their medical targets at specified times.
