The national consensus government, the Arab and Islamic Governments and the institutions of the international community, has called for their responsibilities in relation to the Islamic and Christian holy Places in Palestine.
In a press statement on Wednesday, government spokesman Yusuf al-Mahmoud called for urgent action to pressure the Government of the occupation to retreat from the imposition of a 24-hour closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, starting at 10 p.m. I consider this a new crime in the Register of Crimes against our people, our land and our sacred lands.
Al-Mahmoud warned that the continued encroachment of the occupation on the holy shrines is aimed at igniting a religious war peculiar to our country, culture and traditions that simulates sectarian and religious wars and the Wars of anarchy imposed by colonialism on our region.
