The European Union Condemns the Israeli Occupation Forces' Demolition of the Ain Samia School in the West Bank, Funded by It."
The European Union has condemned the demolition carried out by the Israeli occupation forces of the Ain Samia school in the West Bank, which was funded by the EU. In a statement, the European Union called on Israel to respect the right of Palestinian children to education and to "compensate the EU for the lost funding."
The Israeli occupation bulldozers demolished the school yesterday, Thursday, which is located in a Bedouin community in the town of Kfar Malek, east of Ramallah.
It's worth mentioning that the school was inaugurated in mid-January 2022, in coordination between the Ministry of Education, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, with European funding through an international institution operating in Palestine, and with the efforts of volunteers. The school was intended to serve students in the Ain Samia Bedouin community and was one of the schools of resilience and challenge in the areas classified as (Area C)
