The European Union called today, Sunday, for a prompt and transparent investigation into the murder of the 15-year-old boy, Amjad Nashaat Abu Alia, in the village of Al-Mughayer, northeast of Ramallah, condemning the increase in settler violence.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Health announced the death of the boy, Abu Alia, from a live bullet wound to the chest.
Violent confrontations erupted in the village with the occupation forces and settlers, after the suppression of a peaceful march organized by the national and Islamic forces and the village´s activities, and the Committee to Resist the Wall and Settlement, in rejection of the settlers´ attacks on the villagers.
It is noteworthy that the settlers are attacking the village of Al-Mughayer continuously, especially the areas of Ain Samiya and Marj al-Dhahab, under the protection of the occupation forces, with the aim of seizing more of its lands.
