James Randi, the Canadian-American magician, who was famous for his skill in the magic of disappearance, died at the age of ninety-two, and questioned the credibility of those he described as the paranormal charlatan.
The Late Wizard´s Foundation issued a brief statement expressing "deep sorrow to announce the death of James Randi, due to problems related to his age."
Randall, born in 1928 in Toronto and his real name Randall Zwing, was known by several names, including "Zhou Ran", "Prince Epis", "Telepath", "The Great Randall" and James Randi, who specialized in the magic of disappearance, and he broke the record for the time spent by the famous Harry Houdini in a closed coffin submerged in water, as he remained for 55 minutes locked inside a block of ice.
In addition to his talents as a magician, James Randi gained his fame from his paranormal questioning and validity. In the eighties of the twentieth century, James Randi exposed the methods of the evangelical false healer, Reverend Peter Popov, revealing that he was using a stethoscope to detect the diseases of his followers, claiming that he was receiving divine revelation.
"The difference between me and them is that I admit to being a charlatan, they don´t. I don´t have time to devote to the things that move at night," Randy told the New York Times in 1981.
The "Washington Post" newspaper reported that James Randi was treated in recent years for cancer and heart problems.
