The daughter of former Uzbek President Islam Karimov, who had considered influence before losing her favor and then jailed in March, said she had paid more than 1 billion euros to the state and demanded her release.
Gulnara Karimova, 46, the eldest daughter of the president who died in 2016 after more than a quarter of a century in power, was sent to 10 years´ imprimementment in 2017 on charges of fraud, embezzlement and hiding large amounts of foreign currency.
Last year, the sentence was commuted to five years of house arrest, but Karimova was returned to prison in March to spend the rest of her sentence after she violated house arrest and refused to pay compensation to the state.
In a letter posted on Instagram on Sunday, Karimova asked for amnesties from the people of the Central Asian country for "disappointments that could have caused them."
The former diplomat and the pop singer said more than one billion euros had been transferred from "personal accounts" to the state "serving the interests of the budget of the Republic."
It also said it had waived the claim for more than 600 million euros held in foreign banks.
Swiss lawyer Griguard Manja said his client´s letter to Instagram was "original", refusing to comment on its content.
The Swiss authorities said on Monday they had ordered the confiscation of about 120 million euros whitened in this country, a close friend of Karimova, she said.
These funds will be returned to Uzbekistan.
The decision comes in a case opened in 2012 by the Swiss judicial and targets Karimova, her personal assistant, two of her cooperators and the general manager of the Uzbek branch of a Russian telecom company.
Karimova´s fate has been the source of many rumors. She is accused by the judicial in her country of belonging to a criminal group with property in 12 countries, including properties in London and Dubai and a palace near Paris and Villa in Kut d´Azur in Saint-Tropez (southern France).
Gulnara was expected to succeed her father at the head of the former Soviet republic, but lost her favor after comparing him to Stalin and publicly attacking her mother and sister.
She has served as her country´s ambassador to the United Nations, but has also been known for organizing fashion shows and launching a series of jewelry or songs, especially with French actor Gerard Depardieu.
Its name has been widely cited in corruption cases in many countries, in Europe and the United States.
