Settlers burn 80 olive trees in Burin

Israeli settlers burned dozens of olive trees in the town of Burin, south of Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas, a settlement official in the northern West Bank, said that a settler set fire to olive fields near the bypass road of the Yitzhar settlement. The fire spread over large areas, burning 80 trees loaded with olive fruits.

"Settler attacks are escalating as the olive season is about to start," he said.
